Lizzie Miles

Lizzie Kilometers was an excellent vintage blues singer from your 1920s who survived to truly have a complete comeback in the 1950s. She began performing in New Orleans during 1909-1911 with such music artists as Ruler Oliver, Child Ory, and Bunk Johnson. Mls spent many years touring the South in minstrel displays and playing in theaters. She is at Chicago during 1918-1920 and moved to NY in 1921, producing her documenting debut the next calendar year. Her recordings in the 1922-1930 period mainly utilized lesser-known players, but Louis Metcalf and Ruler Oliver had been on two music apiece and she documented a set of duets with Jelly Move Morton in 1929. Mls sang using a.J. Piron and Sam Wooding, toured European countries during 1924-1925, and was energetic in NY during 1926-1931. Disease knocked her out of actions for an interval, but by 1935, she was executing with Paul Barbarin, she sang with Fatty acids Waller in 1938, and documented a program in 1939. Lizzie Mls spent 1943-1949 beyond music, however in 1950 started a comeback, frequently executing with Bob Scobey or George Lewis during her last decade.
