Liz Barnez

This singer/songwriter was heavily influenced through the distinct sounds of New Orleans. Developing up in the France Quarter, Barnez blended funk with gospel, spirit and Dixieland music to generate “acoustic swamp-rock”. While participating in the College or university of New Orleans, Barnez fulfilled drummer Steve Amedee. Amedee was an associate from the Subdudes and prompted Barnez to keep her composing and performing. In 1987, The Subdudes shifted to Colorado and Barnez was shortly to check out. In 1988, she documented her demo. Among the songs through the demo, Easy Lifestyle, was continuously shown on a local radio place. Barnez also added Don’t Worry to get a compilation of Colorado music artists. Quickly thereafter the vocalist was starting for various performers through the entire Rocky Mountain area. Barnez also earned the Colorado Audio Competition and performed on the American Music Celebration. In 1992, she released Liz Barnez Music group, her debut record. Even more touring and executing ensued before she moved into the studio room in 1995. Dealing with Tom Sullivan, Barnez released Inkmarks On Web pages in 1996. Frequently in comparison to Melissa Etheridge, the musician performed at the brand new Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for just two years.
