b. 6 Sept 1919, Anguilla, Mississippi, USA. Small Hudson (as he was known on record) relocated to Chicago at age 20. There he started to play around the flourishing blues picture, and eventually began his personal group, the Crimson Devils Trio. Showers produced some records along with his music group, including pianist Lazy Expenses Lucas, in 1953 for the work label, but normally remained pretty obscure. An extremely short documenting, originally made like a radio ad, was unearthed and released in newer years.
