THE BRAND NEW York Town power pop group Lava Baby initially began being a bond between childhood friends Robyn Celia (vocals/guitar) and Andrea Dark brown (drums). Both enjoyed Blondie, the Go-Go’s, and early Madonna, and chose they, too, will make it in rock and roll & move. They shifted their daily lives in 1998 with Celia’s sister and keyboardist, Jen, and centered on catchy riffs and ’80s brand-new influx grooves. Guitarist Tag Piovanetti and bassist Tony Angerson finished the lineup with time for 2000’s cheeky debut, In the proper Place. Village Tone of voice and Billboard praised Lava Baby, but Jen Celia didn’t hang in there to take pleasure from the achievement. She still left the band to obtain married soon after its discharge. Angerson also departed; Jen Salzman and Peter Cole had been added and Lava Baby continuing its East Coastline reign around little clubs. A calendar year afterwards, Big Muff premiered.
