Lanny Gordin

Lanny Gordin contributed to shaping the audio of Tropicália along with his electric guitar, having been a disputed musician by the main artists from the movement yet others which were attracted by his music qualities. The initial Tropicália record which Gordin performed was the initial individual discharge by Gal Costa, Gal Costa (Philips, 1969), which impressed musical movie director, arranger, and conductor Rogério Duprat. It had been accompanied by albums from Caetano Veloso (1969), Gilberto Gil (1969, 1972), Gal Costa (1970, 1971), Rita Lee (1972), Erasmo Carlos (1971), Jards Macalé (1972), Elis Regina, yet others. In 1971, he supported Jair Rodrigues on the Western european tour and got his last essential register in “De Cara,” from Caetano’s Araçá Azul. Gordin spent time in Israel, coming to age group six in Brazil. He began at 13 being a self-taught guitarist, with 16 debuted at his father’s nightclub, the Stardust (downtown São Paulo), where he performed Heraldo perform Monte and Hermeto Pascoal.
