Lackthereof

Lackthereof , the nom de single task of Danny Seim, had become in 1997, many years before Seim became area of the eclectic, Portland-based indie trio Menomena. Primarily, the task embraced a nature of electronica-tinged experimentalism, sounding something comparable to the eccentric function of John Maus; Lackthereof’s afterwards function became more extra and folky, nodding to performers like Bon Iver and Bonnie “Prince” Billy. In the first times of the task, Lackthereof’s recordings had been relegated to CD-Rs; six of the discs were documented through the project’s birth until Seim became engrossed along with his function in Menomena. A couple of years later on, Seim was found by FILMguerrero for his seventh Lackthereof discharge, Christian the Christian, that was released on that label in 2005. Lackthereof’s second full-length on FILMguerrero, My Haunted, premiered in the springtime of 2008. It had been followed several months afterwards by another full-length, Your Anchor, that was released on Barsuk Information.
