The drifty and breezy electronic indie pop of Sweden’s Kuryakin nods to influences which range from Enoch Light’s Free of charge Style to Saint Etienne, and places them in the same music territory as artists like Wonder Fortress and Frankmusik. Kuryakin certainly are a duo made up of Petter Gjores and Johan Norberg, who fulfilled while attending university or college in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2002 and started making recordings collectively one year later on.
