King of Asgard

Founded in 2008, King of Asgard is definitely a Swedish Viking steel band shaped by former Mithotyn members Karl Beckmann (guitar/vocals) and Karsten Larsson (drums). Along with Lars Tängmark (guitars) and Jonas Albrektsson, who became a member of after the preliminary duo documented their 2009 demonstration Prince of Mäbands, the music group explore their Norse origins with a mixture of dark metallic, doom, and traditional affects. Although their audio never veers in to the even more middle ages waters of folk metallic, the impact of days gone by has remaining its mark within the band’s epic and brutal function. Ruler of Asgard produced their full-length debut this year 2010 with Fi’mbulvintr, and came back two years later on having a follow-up, To North; both albums had been released by Metallic Blade Information. Their third recording, the bleak and effective Karg, found its way to July of 2014. Following a band’s departure from Metallic Blade, they shipped 2017’s mighty :taudr:, their 1st launch for Swedish label Trollmusic.
