Kinfusion

A duo of James “Flip” Griffin and his cousin Lake “Dolla” Bates, Kinfusion was mostly of the rap acts to use of Detroit through the middle-’90s. Griffin and Bates produced the group while still in senior high school, and performed various night clubs and house celebrations around the region during the middle-’90s. After documenting a three-track demonstration with local manufacturer Artwork Forest, the set had taken a bus to NEW YORK armed just with 50 cassettes. After starting up with Touchwood Information, Kinfusion agreed upon a contract. The very first solitary, “Crooked Green Documents” — extracted from the demonstration tape — offered 15,000 copies through limited distribution. Debut recording Da Unhatched Breed of dog appeared in Oct 1997.
