Khan

An obscure footnote of early-’70s United kingdom art rock, Khan included guitarist Steve Hillage, keyboardist Dave Stewart, and ex-Crazy World of Arthur Dark brown bassist Nick Greenwood. Their singular record from 1972 was dominated by Hillage’s extended, ambitious compositions and Stewart’s body organ, which owed very much towards the Canterbury Picture of United kingdom prog rock and roll. The group didn’t give much to tell apart themselves from the countless other British clothes exploring identical territory, and disbanded after one LP. Hillage continued to become listed on Kevin Ayers and Gong before building a solo profession; Stewart used Hatfield & the North and Country wide Health.
