Kenji Suzuki

This Japanese child prodigy and virtuoso guitarist first found prominence after winning a national competition for guitarists at age 14. Resembling a Japanese edition of Elvis Costello, his mastery from the fretboard was quite amazing. After a low-key mini-album of primarily Japanese-style instrumentals, he teamed up with ex-Cream bass participant Jack port Bruce and Frehley’s Comet’s drummer Anton Fig. This association documented like a power-trio, playing Cream classics and avant garde, blues-based rock and roll, fused with Japanese traditional pieces.
