Karen Carpenter

Karen Carpenter was the business lead singer for the soft-rock duo the Carpenters, who scored a string of Top 10 strikes in the first ’70s, including “(They Long to become) In your area,” “We’ve ONLY Begun,” “Rainy Times and Mondays,” and “Last night ONCE AGAIN.” Carpenter documented one solo recording in the past due ’70s, yet it had been unreleased at that time. Following the documenting from the record, she came back towards the Carpenters, plus they acquired one final Best 40 strike — “Contact Me When We’re Dance” — in 1981 before she tragically passed away of heart failing, due to anorexia nervosa, in Feb of 1983. Her unreleased single album, entitled Karen Carpenter, was finally released in nov 1996.
