Johannes Verhulst

Verhulst was one of the primary students in the royal academy of music in the Hague. He researched with Lubeck, Lechleitner, Klein in Cologne, and became a pal of Schumann when he journeyed to Leipzig in 1838. Through Lubeck he also fulfilled Mendelssohn in 1836. During his general public life Verhulst could carry out the Euterpe orchestra, the royal choir in Rotterdam, the Rotterdam Musical Event of 1854, the Diligentia concerts in The Hague as well as the Fetis Meritis orchestra of Amsterdam among additional engagements.
