Tempering sharp and powerful lyrics using a sweetly melodic tone of voice, Jamila Woods can be an activist, poet, and R&B singer/songwriter whose inspirations consist of Gwendolyn Brooks and Toni Morrison, aswell as Erykah Badu and Kendrick Lamar.
