Islander

A throwback towards the emotional alt-metal of rings like Deftones, Glassjaw, and Much, Greenville, South Carolina’s Islander merge traveling steel with soaring emo to generate their ripping audio. Composed of vocalist Mickey Carvajal, guitarist Andrew Murphy, bassist Chris Doot, and drummer Eric Frazier, the music group was founded in 2011. In 2013, Islander had been signed to Success Information, where they released their debut EP, Discomfort., later that season. Continuing to develop hype, Islander proceeded to go into the studio room with Alkaline Trio and Silverstein manufacturer Cameron Webb to record their full-length debut. Entitled Violence and Devastation, the album found its way to 2014, using the band aiming for the 2014 Mayhem Celebration to aid it. Early 2016 noticed the discharge of a fresh one, “Darkness,” in expectation from the band’s sophomore studio room long-player, Power IN ORDER, which dropped later on that August.
