Invincible

Breaking barriers being a white feminine through the upscale university city of Ann Arbor, MI, Alana “Invincible” Weaver obtained popularity in Detroit’s underground rap scene with her smart rhyme design. After shifting from the center East to Michigan in primary school, Weaver began composing poetry, and by age fifteen she was fighting in freestyle contests. In 1999 she was a semifinalist for the reason that year’s BET-televised Blaze Fight and after conference a similar-minded designer called Helixx at an area open-mic night time, she relocated to NY to consider Helixx’s part in the feminine MC-fronted group the Anomalies. By 2002, she came back to Michigan and setup store in Detroit. Shrugging off gives from major brands searching for “the woman Eminem,” Invincible thought we would set up her personal impartial label (Introduction) with expectations of liberating her potential albums without the industry advertising agendas. Her long-awaited debut ShapeShifters premiered in 2008.
