Hildegard Knef

Although Hildegard Knef (aka Hildegard Neff, or just “Die Knef”) was most widely known in her indigenous Germany among the most significant actresses to emerge after WWII, she was also an accomplished musician in her very own right. Working mainly using the German chanson (a kind of vocal pop well-known in that nation in the middle-20th hundred years), she released over 20 albums and documented over 300 music (composing or co-writing nearly half of these).
