HEXA

HEXA can be an experimental cooperation between Australian composer Lawrence British and Xiu Xiu head Jamie Stewart. Both first met in ’09 2009, plus they kept in contact over time, exchanging tips and sporadically get together up personally. They initial performed as HEXA in 2015, creating dark, atmospheric soundscapes for Between Two Worlds, an exhibition of David Lynch’s artwork that occurred on the Gallery of Contemporary Artwork in Brisbane, Australia. A restricted cassette was released on English’s Area40 label following the exhibition covered up. The next year, Area40 released HEXA’s Stock Photographs LP, as well as the Gallery of Contemporary Art scheduled yet another presentation from the duo’s music and Lynch’s photography for 2017.
