Harrod & Funck

Jason Harrod and Brian Funck met while students in Wheaton University in Illinois, after close friends recognized a similarity within their atmospheric folk tunes and introduced both guitarists. These were “found out” in 1991 if they opened up for Brooks Williams, an extremely respected number in the Boston folk picture, at a Wheaton concert. Williams apparently was so relocated that he nearly refused to try out his own arranged, and subsequently launched the set to Mark Noticed, who decided to create their first recording, Dreams of the colour Blind, in 1992. Noticed, a critically acclaimed vocalist/songwriter, earned a seasoned solid of music artists (including David Miner on standup bass and Steve Hindalong from the Choir on drums) to make a refined, ethereal acoustic folk-pop audio. Heard died soon thereafter, and Harrod and Funck protected his “Be concerned AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF” for a set of tribute albums (Solid Hand of Like in 1994 and Orphans of God in 1995). Since 1993 Harrod and Funck have already been living and playing in Boston; their self-titled second LP made an appearance in 1997.
