Halina Czerny-Stefanska

This Polish pianist flourished through the Communist era and beyond, position in good favor enough to tour the West also to perform with such globetrotting conductors as Georg Solti, Zubin Mehta, and Adrian Boult. Her popularity in her indigenous land began having a first-prize displaying in the Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 1949, and she later on became a teacher in the Krakow Conservatory. Her design fell squarely in to the custom of fiery Passionate playing common in Poland and additional eastern Europe.
