Originally from Very long Seaside, California, producer/singer/songwriter Greg Laswell moved to NORTH PARK in the first ’90s to wait college. He became mixed up in city’s music picture by fronting an area music group, Shillglen, and founding All of the Rest Information. Shillglen split up in 2001, departing Laswell absolve to create his personal pop/rock materials and devote additional time to studio room work. He produced his single debut using the launch of 2003’s Great Film, which he financed himself and released by himself label. When All of the Rest Records went of business twelve months later, he began a new business — 20 In . Files — and began functioning as a maker. Good Film became an area success, making Laswell a agreement with Vanguard Information along the way. He signed using the label and released a sophomore recording, Through Toledo, in 2006. The recording had been created and documented during Laswell’s divorce from his 1st wife, and its own encouraging sound — wistful, somber, but tuneful non-etheless — gained him an area on the Resort Cafe’s Western tour. While touring in early 2008, he released an EP entitled How the Day time Seems and readied himself for the appearance of his third recording, Three Plane tickets from Alto Nido, which made an appearance that summer. For this period Laswell’s songs started appearing in movies (Close friends with Benefits, My Sister’s Keeper) and tv series (Parenthood, Grey’s Anatomy).
