Grand National

As Grand Country wide, the duo of Rupert Lyddon and Lawrence Rudd combines the electro-pop of rings like New Purchase and Depeche Setting with sugary harmonies and laid-back grooves. Both first met within a Law enforcement tribute music group structured out of London. Rupert ultimately became friends using the music group Primal Scream and was provided some free studio room time in the group. Whenever the Scream weren’t positively focusing on their upcoming XTRMNTR record, Lyddon and Rudd had been busy documenting their own music and getting Grand Country wide. They produced their debut in 2003 using the self-explanatory EP1 offering key monitor “Playing in the length,” a NME find for Single from the Week. The debut full-length, Kicking the Country wide Habit, appeared a year afterwards, earning reviews that are positive that nostalgically talked about rings like Duran Duran, Chat Chat, and A.R. Kane. These were shortly being employed for remix function by famous brands Snow Patrol and Customer and having their very own function remixed by famous brands Sasha as well as the Glimmers. A 2006 American re-release of their debut record highlighted the Sasha and Glimmers remixes, which would also show up on the 2007 collection B-Sides, Remixes & Rarities. That calendar year their second record, A GLASS OR TWO and an instant Decision, premiered, first as an electronic download and being a physical Compact disc with bonus monitors.
