Grace Brim

b. 20 July 1924, Biscoe, Arkansas, USA, d. 15 June 1999, Gary, Indiana, USA. Mostly of the female musicians energetic on the post-war Chicago blues picture, Brim made an appearance with her spouse John Brim’s group, the Gary Kings. At her 1st recording program in 1950, she performed harmonica and sang, demonstrating a nice, though not specifically expressive, vocal design. Later she required to the drums, although on a minumum of one record she also sang and performed harmonica. Some information made an appearance under her personal name, some as Mrs John Brim, but mainly she performed a subordinate part on John’s information, and can become heard lending extremely solid support on his good topical ointment blues, ‘Difficult Occasions’, with Eddie Taylor and Jimmy Reed. She continuing to play for quite some time, both with her spouse and with additional groups, plus they made an appearance together about the same within the 70s.
