Godboxer

Following a demise of his group Growing Guy in the late ’90s, singer/songwriter Aaron Lippert waited a couple of years before resurfacing because the frontman for Godboxer. Joined up with by drummer Mike Levesque, bassist Joe McMahon, and guitarist Jay Barclay, Lippert started playing once again in his indigenous Boston region at local night clubs in 2002 with that year’s NeMO Display; the band quickly received a 2002 Boston Music Awards nomination for Outstanding New ROCK-BAND. Supplying a soaring power pop audio in the custom of Cheap Technique, Godboxer released its debut EP, Pins, in early 2003 on the tiny Rubirosa imprint.
