Fulton Street Jazz Band

Fulton Road was founded in the first 1970’s by pianist Bob Ringwald who’s probably destined to become best-known as celebrity Mollie Ringwald’s dad! An excellent pianist (who down the road would also develop being a banjoist and a vocalist), Ringwald come up with the trad jazz music group that was originally located in Sacramento and performed around north California furthermore to planing a trip to jazz celebrations. Among its early sidemen had been cornetist Ernie Carson and trombonist Rex Allen; these were among the ensemble’s perhaps most obviously players on the initial two recordings, albums for the Sacramento Jazz label. Ultimately Ringwald still left the group and relocated to LA. Fulton Street provides remained a favorite attraction, using the 1992 model of the music group offering pianist Bob Hirsch and a frontline of trumpeter Dean Nelson, trombonist John Landes and clarinetist Bob Newman.
