Fritz Hauser

Hauser recalls getting fascinated as a kid from the noises of drum rolls in the circus; in his teenagers, the percussionist was drawn to the music of rock and roll bands just like the Beatles and Rolling Rocks. Hauser offers collaborated with such songs luminaries as Urs Leimgruber, Marilyn Crispell, and Joelle Leandre, but he’s perhaps most widely known for his are a soloist. While a lot of his single music can be improvised, Hauser also performs notated items compiled by himself and composers such asJohn Cage, Pauline Oliveros, and Pierre Favre. Very much, if not the majority of Hauser’s documented work continues to be issued from the hatART label.
