Friedrich Gulda

Classical and jazz pianist and composer, Friedrich Gulda was among Austria’s premiere pianists. Blessed in Vienna in 1930, Gulda began piano lessons at age seven. When he was 12, he signed up for the Vienna Music Academy, and four years afterwards received initial place within the Geneva International Music Celebration. In 1949, Gulda toured European countries and SOUTH USA, earning worldwide acclaim for his remedies of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, and the next year he effectively debuted at Carnegie Hall. Gulda became even more involved with jazz from 1951 on, when he improvised with Dizzy Gillespie carrying out a efficiency using the Chicago Symphony.
