Ford Theatre

Ford Theatre produced several psychedelic albums for ABC in the past due ’60s which were typical period items, but respectable on that moderate level. Within their usage of winding minor-key melodies, hard rock and roll guitar-organ interplay, prolonged acoustic guitar soloing, and earnest, ambitious lyrics, these were similar to additional Boston psychedelic rings of that time period, but more genuine. They were not just one from the rings collected up and advertised within the Bosstown Sound buzz, to begin with. Ford Theatre progressed from the Boston music group the Joyful Sound, and were authorized by Bob Thiele of ABC Information after Thiele have been contacted with the person by way of a DJ at Boston’s WBZ. Thiele created Ford Theatre’s 1st recording, Trilogy for the People, which was focused around two extended multi-sectioned items, “101 Harrison Road (Who to PARTICIPATE IN)” and “From a Back again Door Screen (The Search).” Their second and last album, Time Adjustments, was built around even more conventionally-timed parts, and was an early on production by Costs Szymczyk, who continued to create the Eagles. Ford Theater guitarist Harry Palmer may be the uncle of underground cult musician R. Stevie Moore.
