Flower

Much more when compared to a mere twig in the Versus family tree, Flower was a revered Fresh York-based indie rock-band formed simply by Richard Baluyut, youthful brother Ed Baluyut, Ian James, and Andrew Bordwin in the later ’80s. While jointly, they released an EP in support of two albums, 1988’s Cement and 1990’s Hologram Sky — each of their produces had been through the Keep label, but Hologram Sky was released in Germany just. Upon the group’s break up in 1990, Richard Baluyut produced Versus with Fontaine Toups and Robert Hale. (Ed would bob in and from the lineup, and another Baluyut sibling, Wayne, would also interact.) Ian Wayne and Andrew Bordwin would ultimately come in Cell and (collectively) in French. In 1994, Basic Devices teamed up with Carry to issue Cement Sky, a compilation of Flower’s documented functions. As something of the sidenote, Tsunami, the music group led by Basic Devices’ Jenny Toomey and Kristin Thompson, protected Flower’s finest instant, “Beauty Pt. II,” on the 1992 single.
