Felder’s Orioles

A London-based R&B-based sextet, Felders Orioles were originally referred to as the Defeat Culture, and had a somewhat jazzy, sax-driven audio. Agreed upon to Pye in 1965, they got four singles (which “START Your Lovelight” is just about the best work left out by the music group) released in the Piccadilly imprint on the next 2 yrs. None of these did specifically well, as well as the music group eventually split up. Drummer John Halsey continued towards the longest documenting and performing profession of any person in the music group, using Roy Harper, Joan Armatrading, Neil Innis, Patto, Annette Peacock, Roger Chapman, and Decameron, and he was also an associate from the Rutles.
