Evian Christ

The Cheshire, England-based Joshua Leary produces abstract, industrial-tinged hip-hop as Evian Christ. Eight of his songs were collected for his debut, Kings & Them, released in Feb 2012 as a free of charge digital download through Tri Angle — house to recordings from famous brands How to Gown Well and Clams Gambling establishment. A couple of months later on, a vinyl model was offered for retail. Duga-3, a smooth mix of first ambient work motivated by reading in regards to a Soviet radar program, was granted to Dummy mag and subsequently made an appearance on limited-edition Tri Position vinyl fabric for Record Shop Time 2013. Along with five various other producers, he added to “I’m in It,” among the leaner paths from Kanye West’s Yeezus. The record was released before Leary’s performance on the 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. The next March, the manufacturer released the four-track Waterfall EP, offering the pungent “Sodium Carousel,” on Tri Angle.
