Empress

Empress recorded several paths for Prelude in the first ’80s, especially “Dyin’ to become Dancin'” and “Have a Risk.” Though her result was minimal, the dark diva holds a particular place ever sold due to her affiliation with Prelude, probably the most important disco label of the first ’80s. In 1994 Unidisc released a best-of collection, Dyin’ to become Dancin’, that put together Empress’ Prelude recordings, including three different mixes from the title track.
