Donovan Woods

Merging melodic sensibilities with rustic folk storytelling, Canada’s Donovan Woods has generated an impressive job as both a guitar-strumming troubadour and an in-demand songwriter. Elevated in Sarnia, Ontario, simply over the U.S. boundary, Woods started playing acoustic guitar in his teenagers, taking impact from nation, folk, and pop music. He produced his debut in 2007 using the Hold Up, presenting enthusiasts to his thoughtful, low-key music style. He quickly gained widespread publicity when his music “My Cousin Includes a Gray Cup Band” was found in advertisements for the Gray Glass, the Canadian Soccer League’s national tournament game. Woods continuing to develop on his achievement with 2011’s The Widowmaker, implemented in 2013 by DO NOT GET As well Grand. He also started pursuing a profession placing music with other performers, traveling backwards and forwards between Toronto and Nashville. In 2014, his melody “Portland, Maine” was documented by Tim McGraw on his record Sundown Heaven City. Two years afterwards, he and Nashville songwriting partner Abe Stoklasa positioned another melody, “Departing Nashville,” with Female Antebellum vocalist Charles Kelley. On the other hand, Woods continuing to nurture his very own recording career, putting your signature on with Warner Chappell in 2016 and launching his acclaimed 4th LP, Hard Negotiate Ain’t Troubled, that was longlisted for Canada’s sought after Polaris Award. A four-song EP, THEY GO Away, premiered in early 2017.
