DJ Quik

Among the leading West Coastline gangsta rap performers of the first ’90s, DJ Quik was a rapper and a maker whose career continued well in to the following decade, while he place his profession aside and began functioning primarily like a beat-maker. Given birth to David Martin Blake on January 18, 1970, in Compton, California, DJ Quik produced a name for himself around the mixtape circuit through the past due ’80s, compiling tapes also offering fellow rappers AMG, 2nd II non-e, and Hi-C.
