Deinonychus

After splitting from Dutch black steel band Malefic Oath, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Marco Kehren founded the Deinonychus project to explore a mournful and dramatic type of dark steel laced with gothic overtones. You start with 1995’s sorrowful The Silence of Dec, the prolific songwriter unleashed a slew of significantly eclectic and perplexing exercises in suicidal melancholy, like the Weeping of one thousand Years (1996), The Ark of Believed (1997), Deinonychus (1999), and Mournument (2001).
