Dedekind Cut

Lee Bannon made a name for himself producing beats for underground hip-hop MCs like Joey Bada$$, but after putting your signature on to Ninja Melody and releasing two albums that but abandoned hip-hop and only experimental jungle and ambient music, he stopped building music less than his previous alias and began using the name Dedekind Slice. The work produced under his up to date moniker is definitely dark, volatile, jarring, and unstable, recalling the frenzied breakcore of Venetian Snares, the haunted U.K. garage area of Burial, and components of gabber/hardstyle, grime, ambient, and mutated Southern rap. Dedekind Cut’s 1st launch was the self-issued tHot eNhançeR EP in Sept of 2015. In early 2016, Dedekind Cut and Rabit became a member of forces on the blistering EP on Ninja Melody entitled R&D. A self-issued solitary named “Last” made an appearance soon after, and a Dark History Month-themed blend titled BHM/N3D premiered by Non Worldwide. In March, ambient drone tape American Zen was released by Dominick Fernow’s Medical center Productions. Full-length debut $uccessor made an appearance in November; Non Worldwide released it on vinyl fabric, while Medical center Productions released it on cassette.
