Motivated by Albert Mudrian’s book Selecting Loss of life: The Improbable History of Loss of life Steel and Grindcore, Hellacopters frontman and previous Entombed drummer Nicke Andersson shaped Loss of life Breath in 2005 being a tribute to old-school Swedish death steel. As opposed to its even more specialized American counterpart, early-’90s Swedish loss of life metal highlighted filthy shades and basic, bluesy riffs.
