David Friedman

Vibraphonist and marimba participant David Friedman offers recorded and played extensively because the early ’70s. He analyzed drums within the middle-’50s, and marimba and xylophone within the ’60s. Friedman went to Juilliard, with main focus on percussion. He was also tutored by Teddy Charles and Hall Overton. Friedman used the brand new York Philharmonic and Metropolitan Opera within the ’60s, after that caused Wayne Shorter, Horace Sterling silver, Joe Chambers, Hubert Laws and regulations, and Horacee Arnold within the ’70s. After touring and taking part in Ludwig Drum Business workshops with Dave Samuels, Friedman and Samuels shaped the Mallet Duo in 1975 and co-led the quartet Increase Picture from 1977 to 1980. Friedman documented with Daniel Humair in 1979 and Chet Baker in 1982. He was an trainer at New York’s Manhattan College of Music and Montreux’s Institute for Advanced Musical Research in the middle-’70s. Friedman provides remained energetic in education, composing, executing, and recording in to the 21st hundred years, and shaped his trio Tambour — offering saxophonist Peter Weniger and bassist Pepe Berns — in 2003. Tambour released their first Compact disc, Earfood, in January of the next season; accordionist Jean-Louis Matinier was put into the lineup for Rodney’s Parallel Universe, released in 2007.
