David Campbell was raised within the suburbs of Adelaide, Australia. His grandmother Joan, who elevated him, often performed recordings of Nat Ruler Cole and Johnny Mathis during his formative years. His curiosity piqued, Campbell shortly fell deeply in love with entertainers like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, among various other “old-school” greats. He initial won major jobs within the mid-’90s on the Stables Theater in Sydney, and was shortly nominated for an MO Prize for Greatest Musical Theater Performer. His debut single record, Yesterday IS CURRENTLY, premiered in 1997, getting the eye of enthusiasts and critics all over.
