Clipd Beaks

Embracing the angular, semi-melodic impact of post-punk pioneers like the Homosexuals which Heat combined with the electronic floors of fellow contemporary no-wave revivalists, Clipd Beaks started producing music amid the chilly surroundings of Minneapolis, MN, in 2003. Founding people Ray Benjamin (drums) and Scott Ecklein (bass) understood one another since childhood, plus they fulfilled Greg Pritchard (electric guitar) if they had been all teenagers producing noise on the neighborhood punk rock picture. However, the appearance of Nic Barbein on vocals along with a beat-up ARP synthesizer got the group down an alternative musical route, and Clipd Beaks was the effect. Using a selection of results boxes, broken devices, and found sounds, Clipd Beaks dedicated their abrasive however curiously engaging noises to tape using a self-released debut record the group stated in 2004. A season afterwards, Clipd Beaks relocated towards the sunnier climes of Oakland, CA, and started creating a name for themselves in the Western world Coastline. In 2006, Tigerbeat6 released a six-song EP, Preyers, that was attracted from recordings Clipd Beaks manufactured in 2004 and frequently featured directed protests contrary to the battle in Iraq. In 2007, Clipd Beaks came back to the documenting studio to create Hoarse Lords, a full-length record that premiered by Lovepump United Information in November of this season. The band came back this year 2010 using the release of the second full-length, TO UNDERSTAND.
