Chris Riffle

An indie folk singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Chris Riffle continues to be set alongside the likes of Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, and Ben Lee. Given birth to inside a rural section of Washington Condition, Riffle experienced a musical upbringing and frequently sang and used his parents. During senior high school and section of his period at Bellingham’s Fairhaven University, he was within a music group, but he ultimately opted to record and perform being a single artist. He opened up for Mary Lou Lord and Loss of life Cab for Cutie, amongst others, and got “Wonderboy,” a tune from his self-released record The Sun Can be Up (2004), performed on the air station of Traditional western Washington College or university. Riffle shifted to NEW YORK and within 2 yrs started focusing on his second record, Presenting…Chris Riffle (2010), made by Jimi Zhivago (Rufus Wainwright, Norah Jones). A set of EPs, I Am Not really from Right here (2011) and Another Fantasy (2012), preceded Riffle’s third record, Out of City (2015). Once more, he was helped by Zhivago, who improved his soft, aching sound.
