Charlie Blackwell was a jazz drummer in the ’40s, and was from the Child Ory band aswell as the orchestra of Eddie Heywood, where he supported Bing Crosby. The drummer shouldn’t be confused having a Tulsa drummer from the same name who was simply in Mad Canines & Englishmen’s entourage.
