Challenger 7

Upon the demise from the Sydney indie outfit Front End Loader, bassist Richard Corey and drummer Peter Kostic met up with former You Am I guitarist Greg Hitchcock and former Kryptonics front guy Ian Underwood in 1994. Set up because the power-pop clothing Challenger 7, the group released a six tune EP immediately documented also prior to the group also performed their first present. But after just three gigs, Underwood continued to be as the just original member after the remaining music group departed. With drummer Marty Doo and bassist Dan Bell signing up for Challenger 7’s rates, the 1995 EP, Morris, was finally released with important evaluations to Husker Du as well as the Replacements. Following 1997 recruitment of previous Asteroid B612 guitarist Stewie Cunningham, Challenger 7’s follow-up EP, THE FANTASTIC Slump Forward, arrived that same season.
