Alternate CCM rockers Chagall Guevara were led by singer/songwriter Steve Taylor, previously known for some well-received single efforts before retiring from Christian music due to the controversy encircling the satirical bent of his lyrics, particularly “We Blew In the Medical center Real Great” from your album We Predict 1990. He came back to responsibility in 1990, after developing Chagall Chevara with guitarists Dave Perkins and Lynn Nichols, bassist Wade Jaynes, and drummer Mike Mead; highly influenced from the music from the Clash, the music group authorized to MCA to concern their self-titled 1991 debut LP, which gained the type of mainstream press attention hardly ever afforded to CCM functions.
