Volcano Choir

In 2005, a long time before Justin Vernon started building recordings beneath the name of Bon Iver — and before his earlier band, DeYarmond Edison, had sometimes split — he collaborated with Selections of Colonies of Bees’ Jon Mueller, Chris Rosenau, Jim Schoenecker, Daniel Spack, and Thomas Wincek on the side task called Volcano Choir. The group’s 1st recording, Unmap, was documented in Vernon’s studio room in past due 2008.
