The Youngster Who Trapped sunlight may be the one-man band of Colin MacLeod, a Scottish songwriter who launched his career after moving to London. Motivated by folk, pop, and modern rock, he agreed upon with Geffen and started creating his debut record, playing just about any instrument himself. The effect, Fireplace, premiered in 2010.
