The nom de plume of singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Michigan indigenous Garrett Borns, BØRNS crafts big-hearted, alternately dreamy and danceable, falsetto-driven, electro-pop confections which have been dusted with glam rock and folk. Elevated in the fantastic Lakes coastal city of Grand Haven, Michigan, BØRNS analyzed music in the Interlochen Middle for the Arts and Grand Rapids Community University, and became a fixture on the neighborhood music picture. After a short stint in NEW YORK, BØRNS made a decision to relocate to LA, where he setup shop inside a self-described “treetop sanctuary” simply outside of the town, and started honing what would ultimately become his debut EP, the Interscope-issued Chocolate. Built round the dizzying and syrupy nice solitary “10’000 Emerald Swimming pools,” the four-song EP premiered in November 2014. After a 12 months of touring, especially with Bleachers and Charli XCX, BØRNS released his debut LP, Dopamine, on Interscope.
