All four users of Relationship — Steve Eusebe, Martin Slattery, Scott Shields and Jimmy Hogarth — are professional music artists who’ve previously played in a number of bands, which range from the slick pop of Shakespear’s Sister towards the crazy rock-funk combo Dark Grape. The quartet arrived collectively in the past due ’90s to create a guitar-based pop-rock music group. They authorized to Sony’s alternate label, Function, and documented their debut recording, Bang Out of Purchase, in LA with maker Matthew Wilder; it had been combined by Andy Wallace. The recording premiered in the springtime of 1998.
