Blood Divine

Something of the haven for cast-off ex – associates of England’s most prominent dark metal music group/revolving door, Cradle of Filth, Gothic steel act Bloodstream Divine emerged from the city of Colchester in 1995. Signing up for Cradle of Filth alums Paul Ryan (electric guitar), Benjamin Ryan (keyboards), and can “Was” Sarginson (drums, Dec Moon and Severe Sound Terror) in the brand new project had been bassist Stephen Maloney and vocalist Darren Light, whose lengthy tenure as frontman of best doomsters Anathema (not forgetting early drum responsibilities with Cradle of Filth) helped form the dark steel heard over the group’s 1996 debut, Awaken. The similarly-themed Mystica implemented a year afterwards and brought just one more Cradle of Filth guitarist, Paul Allender (still a dynamic member at that time), in to the picture, but this might end up being the last record by Bloodstream Divine. The group splintered in 1998, and 2002 noticed the release of the retrospective entitled Rise Pantheon Dreams, collecting monitors and outtakes from both Bloodstream Divine albums.
