The Beach Bullies

The Seaside Bullies were a short-lived Uk post-punk duo comprising Soft Males associate Wayne A. Smith and vocalist Jill Fricker. Their minimalist, lo-fi music, recorded entirely having a acoustic guitar and drum machine, had been alternately witty and wistful, managing sentiments of heartache and loneliness having a sharp love of life. The duo just documented one LP, We Guideline the Universe, which made an appearance on Musclebound Information in 1980. Another recording was attempted, but by no means finished. Smith later on sang and performed on many Robyn Hitchcock albums through the entire ’80s. In 2015, We Guideline the World was reissued for the very first time because of Manufactured Recordings. The re-release also included the unreleased demos for the group’s forgotten second album.
